Anyone know the size of the wallpaper on the MyGIG systems? I want to change the dodge one, but I don't want it huge so it resizes it automatically and looks like crap w/ the jagged edges :)

I noticed it only uses half of the screen too, so we kind of need the original dodge logo one w/ that gradient background to blend a new picture in (actually I just want an R/T on it instead of a dodge logo, but I want some other ones too) so I'm thinking if we can get a transparent avenger and follow that gradient background (hard to see in this pic but it's on the right side and left side), it should like like the factory made it :)

You can't...I already tried LOL unless someone can hack that QNX system or whatever :P The only picture you can pull is the stupid default one...

I believe it's like the "blue windows background" that is always default in windows...

Man, Sphinx, you could make some real money with this if you wanted...Charge people like...$1 or something per picture...I'd gladly give you like $10 for 8 custom pics, I think that's the amount you can have :)

Oh, I did confirm that the mygig only supports jpeg at this time. Look at the bottom screen on the left hand side. It says MP3 WMA JPEG. I am not sure if they will update the software to support gifs. I will see what I can do on chromamizing it for you. lol.

Have you noticed that they display wider on the MyGig (a perfect square on the image will not be a perfect square on the screen). And gradients are difficult.

Yeah I noticed that too... that is why I stayed away from gradients... I just stuck with the blue background so that it blends into the button side. Can you get more than 7 photos on your system? I can only add 7 and then I can't add any more... :4-dontknow: Any ideas?

The image just above your post isn't for the MyGig - it was made for a CarPuter.

The rest of the images can be put on a USB flash drive, then plugged into your MyGig, and then add them. (I don't remember the exact steps right now, but basically it's like Menu, My files, Pictures, add pictures.)
When viewing pictures, you can pick which one is the active/default pic. And you can only have 8. :)

I have some pic I put on, now some I took from here and some I made myself, The one thing I noticed is that the size of the Pic doesnt really matter, the Mygig will adjust pic to fit! So I have found the larger the resolution the better the quality of the picture. The next to the last one I couldnt resist and the last is my car!

Sometimes the MyGig doesn't re-size well. I found that out big time when working with a texture like the carbon fiber graphics.

I guess you are right about the carbon fiber but with regular pics it works well, at least from what I can see!

I use Photoshop... you can use paint if you really wanted to. You won't be able to do all the text effects or positions, but it will work... I will send you a PM.

Does anybody have the gradient background for the MYGIG radio? I have a B5 Blue 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT-8 6-speed. The Challenger forum is all about engine HP, I am too but I'm an electronic nut. :smileup: I have made a few wallpapers, but the 2010 seams to have a darker background than the one you are using for your cars.

Gradients do not work on my gig very well... I have experimented with them, but honestly, they look like crap. Not a smooth transition at all. Sorry.
