it's not surprising, there's more of a market for the 4 cylinder than 6. The 4 cylinder has turbo and many accessories. Not sure why a 4 cylinder gets it but the 6's don't.

there will be many more after market parts available for the 4 cyl than the 6.

Well the Avenger has the World 2.4l. I am sure it will be more popular when more vehicles have it in them. I think the Calibers have this motor already. I am not sure what other models have it though.

Not trying to debate, but the 2.4l is only popular right now because no one has decided if they do want to make something for the v6, can they do it both for the 2.7 and 3.5, you have to look at it from a manufacturing point of view - most people will have the 2.7 because they want that extra oomph and flexfuel and most with the 3.5's want performance, people with the 2.4's might like performance, but most are happy with an economical car as that is probably one of the reasons they have it. Just because there is a catback coming out doesn't mean anything, zoomer's already did this for the 3.5's...

I think you are right Zee. I also think most of the 2.4l owners are content with their 2.4l being the way it is, and I can also see the 3.5l owners wanting more power out of their engines... Why is the aftermarket world producing parts for the 2.4l then? Maybe it is easier to make, I just don't know. I would like to see more parts come out for the V6 models more than the 4 banger, but it is what it is I suppose.

It's just cuz there is only one kind of 4cyl - it's an easier decision to make parts...they don't have to worry about it like this - "Well only 42% have the 2.7 and 48% have the 3.5 - who do we make the part for if it doesn't work for both?"

I have not seen anything but that magnaflow system for the avenger 4 banger....there is gonna be more for the 3.5l. You gotta look at the modles of cars. Example yea they make parts for neons but wat is the aftermarket manufactures looking at the most the srt model. You got to figure yea they will be things here and there for the non r/t avengers but all the calls and emails iv sent and tlked to abunch of diffrent ppl , they r looking at the r/t very hard and coming up with ideas now because it is selling really good. So just be patient and remember this car came out in 07....not 08....I do my best for this car im tellin ya aftermarket companys pretty much know me by name now because i bug the hell out of them every week....So in my opinion and facts the r/t will be the most popular out of all the modles...and also ppl that get the other avengers have it mainly for gas i bet...

Can anyone verify if the manifold for the 06 PT cruiser is the same dimensions as the Avenger 2.4l? The reason I ask is because there are many header setups for the Cruiser, and if they would fit, then we can buy them... Hopefully a parts guy can compare the two for us...

Is the Maganaflow setup single exhaust? I would think it would be easier to develop a system for the V6's since anything for the 3.5 will also work for the 2.7 (once the exhaust divet is cut).

I belive the Magnaflow system will be just like the single outlet system they have for the Caliber. Think $600 or more is a little pricey too.

I thought about doing that when I just got new exhaust for my 2.4. There is a polished SS muffler that Magnaflow makes. It has the inlet and outlet on the same end. It is the one used in the Caliber kit. All you would need to do is buy that muffler and then take a pic of the Caliber system to a local custom exhaust shop. They sould be able to bend up the catback pipe and tail pipe. Would be much cheaper then the Magnaflow system and would be the same thing. I was going to do that but went a different route. Went with a universal Magnaflow muffler with tip on the muffler.

Sorry not yet. It is still cold here and I haven't had a chance to get outside and get some pics. It is all dirty too. As soon as it warms up I am going to post up some pics and a write up.

But the magnaflow cat back is stainless. :)

Got a stainless muffler with stainless tip for $250. Not worth $350 for some stainless pipe from the cat to the muffler. That the only difference the Magnaflow kit has.
