View Full Version : Another Michigan Owner!!
Artee 03-30-2008, 08:23 AM After owning four Jeep Cherokees and a Grand Cherokee since 1990, I was drawn over to the darkside of sport sedans by, what I think, is the coolest looking vehicle to hit road in a long time!!
I was at my local dealership test driving another Jeep when I noticed the Sunburst Orange R/T sitting in front of the window. Needless to say, my wife was pretty surprised when I pulled in the driveway with an Avenger instead of a Jeep.
I have had it for a month, I love it, and I can't wait to do a few mods to get a little bonus performance and fuel mileage. After all, I drive over 70 miles a day.
I look forward to sharing stuff with everybody!! :smiley_thumbs_up:

I was pretty concerned about what my wife would think, but after the initial shock, she was pretty cool about it. She thinks it is a lot more fun to ride in around town than the Jeep was. My 7-year old son thinks it is a total hot rod!!

markio 04-02-2008, 10:32 AM My 5 year old loves my car too. He has gotten to the point where any time he sees the Dodge logo anywhere, he points it out. "There's a Dodge!!". He does the same with Chevy too though. A couple times I have given him a cheap thrill and mashed the gas and roasted the tires for him. He LOVED that, and was begging me to do it again. He is a NASCAR lovin' little kid, so I guess I see why. Keep in mind after spinning the tires I eased off and did not speed with him in the car.

My son was exactly the same when he was 5. He is actually the one that convinced me to take the test drive in the Avenger we bought!! He said he was bored of Jeeps and wanted a cool car. That was the beginning of the end for my long run of Jeep ownership. Well, maybe I can get my wife to give up her minivan and get a Jeep instead. If I really work hard at it, maybe I can talk her into an SRT8!!

LOL The SRT8's are the only ones I don't have a "But Hunny" excuse for

But hunny, the SRT8s hold the resale value better. :)
That may not work if you lease though. :)

My ride before my Avenger was a Jeep too. Loved the Jeep, sad to see it go. I was dreading not having it this winter, but luckily the Avenger did pretty good in the snow we got. Not that is was a ton, but enough to make me nervous.
