My Door speaker is blown. How do i pop the cover off to replace the speaker? I tried using a flat head screwdriver but it was going to damage the plastic. Thanks

Just use your hands to pull off the cover. The whole door cover comes off, it's all snap-together like lego's :)

Sure would be nice if they would make those things easier to get off, would be nice if the whole panel didn't have to come off.

I find it easier...less tools to use to break the plastic :)

I agree... I think they used the snap on method for most of the parts on our car... snap on door, snap on engine cover, snap in seats, snap on drive axle... lol... jk.

I blew one of mine a few months ago and the dealer replaced it under warranty. It might have something to do with the TSB.

im pretty sure the last time i took my door pannel off, theres 2 screws in the armrest handle with a litle cover over them, and im pretty sure its mostly just push pops aorund the pannel should pull out then up,,,, but i havent taken the door panels off in about 8 months,,,,, if your blowing speakers you might wanna set the bass back on the head unit, you could be overdriving the speakers

Hi new on here. Just bought an Avenger over here in Denmark. Problem with the front speakers, they vibrate like hell and are unusable. Have they blown or do the need tightening. clueless on these kind of things myself

I guess you have to remove the door panel to gain access to the speaker.

Hello,

Thanks for all the info in regards to the speaker issues and the TSB about them. I currently own a 2008 Dodge Avenger that I purchased used in May, less than 12000 miles, was a executive driven vehicle. Last month I had the passenger door speaker replaced cause it was blown. Now the Drivers door speaker is out to lunch also. I am waiting for the dealership to get a new speaker, guess I will be having them replace all of them right away so I don't have any other problems. Thanks.
