I didn't buy a car with a small engine & now want to make it a racecar, but I want to make it breathe easier, increase mileage & performace with simple ad-ons if possible. I want to replace the stock muffler on my 2.4 avenger with a flowmaster or magnaflow. I know some of you have done this. But I would like to know the exact part # you used, inlet/outlet size and configuration. I only want replies regarding the 2.4 please. Photo under car after mounted would be awesome too.

I guess I just don't know how to get it from my camcorder and onto my computer. I am a little behind the times on the video posting.

Josho66, Did U just go to a muffler shop and ask for a Magnaflow muffler or did u bring them one and have them put it on? Do you know the part# for the one you had put on?

I went to a local muffler shop that I have used many times. I ended up getting this muffler/tip:

I really like it. Has a larger tip but the internal diameter is 2.5" so it doesn't give you that "ricer" sound. Sits in the location of the stock tip/exit pipe. They then made up a pipe to go in between the muffler and stock pipe. When I gets nicer I am going to post up some pics and more information.

Thanks. It looks really good. Thought the tip would be to big at first but when you get it under the car it looks just right. Also since it is the street series with the smaller inside diameter it sounds just right. No loud drone inside. I will get some pics soon and do a write up for everyone.
