So, I've been reading a lot of posts about an R/T logo in the grille, and I was thinking about buying an SXT emblem and sticking that in my grille. First question, do you think an SXT badge would be stupid to do?

Second question for those who have done a badge in the Avenger grille, how did you do it? The plastic is pretty flimsy on the bottom-right quarter, would the sticky side of the emblem really keep it in there?

For the first question, no it would not be stupid if ur car is an sxt, u r giving it more style in my opinion. and second question is it will stick , the badges have a strong adhesive on the back and will hold up

It's pretty much whatever you want to do :) Your not going to satisfy everyone so worry about yourself, if you think it will look cool then do it up. I would just take the badge off the back and move it to the front so your not doing the dual badges, but that's just my opinion.

I have some epoxy that I am going to try, seems to bond best with plastic, but it hasn't been warm enough for it to cure.

I think it would look great! You should do it if that is what you are wanting to do.

Thanks for the input, guys! I think I will go ahead and do it, after all. Zee, I was just thinking when I was reading you're post that I would never use such an adhesive because I'm leasing.. but then again, so are you! haha

LOL I don't trust the tape man, I was looking around for R/T badges (I prefer the chrome one) and they are too expensive for a stupid piece of plastic in my opinion. :p

But I am also trying to obtain a grill for a grill project, that I can swap it out when I'm done with the lease :)

I saw a site that had the body color grilles for around $120, which is pretty expensive for something which is just plastic, but they were also new. Every once in a while grilles show up on e-bay but since the connectors are also plastic most of them are broken off.

And $20 for a plastic badge is pretty stupid, but I know I'll end up paying it.. haha.

lol I agree! Plastic = over rated and toxic to the environment...maybe that's why it costs so much lol

The thing that sucks about plastic is that you might only be getting $.08 worth of plastic, but you're paying for a tool that costs many thousands of dollars to make. I routinely work on parts at work with tooling costs that run upwards of $200k. Sucks to think about possibly making a mistake...

Ridiculous! I was checking out my grille to see where I could put the badge, and damn.. the thing is flimsy. I mean, I guess all cars' grilles are flimsy since these days they are ALL plastic.. and unless you're in an accident they never touch anything anyway so why not, right? haha

I vote yes, I like the look of the badge in the grille. I might do that one day myself, but it might be too much since I already added the ones on the side.

I mind u that i got the mesh grill, do u all think i should paint it blk or leave it silver, if i paint it blk it will just look like the stock one but if i dont the chrome plastic crap stands out and i dont know if the R/T badge will stand out like i want it to

I agree that going to black will make it look like stock. I like the brushed mesh look myself.
