Well I've gotten to where I will be happy with my ram air filter. I have been using the stock air scoop flowing onto my filter. The problem is that I was loosing air flow, so I just added a heat shield that I am using to control the incoming air directly onto the filter. I have driven it only once since installing this, but it is even better than before.

I am not sure, I like the idea of the scoop bringing fresh air. It depends upon where the intake flows.
