View Full Version : Having graphics redone.
josho66 04-18-2008, 03:55 PM Well I just thought I would start another thread about this. I just talked to the owner of the graphics shop. I am going to order another set of hood and side decals from Revo which sucks for me but I have no other choice. They can't reproduce them and I really like the quality of the stuff from Revo and want them to come from Revo. So I just sent Robert at Revo a PM to let him know I will need another set and I will be sending him another paypal payment soon. Robert was great with me on the prices of the new stuff I will need. He is only charging me $80 for both sets which is a great deal. I wish I didn't have to pay anything and I think it sucks since the install shop messed them up but I don't have much of a choice. The graphics shop is going to refund some of the money that I paid them to install the first set so I won't be out the whole thing. I am going to be there when they install the new stuff to make sure it all gets put on right where I want it. I hope everyone continues to order from Revo as they have really taken care of me. I will post up some new pics when I get the new set put on. I will have the windows tinted by then too.

You would think that if you have a professional do something, it is going to be done right.
My sister-in-law had a mobile tint guy put in tint for her Ford Focus and it never looked right, Two months later she tried to call him, but the number was disconnected because he had left the State.
She had to go to another shop and pay for the removal and then a whole new tint job.

josho66 04-19-2008, 06:24 AM The problem is the place I went to has been around for a long time and has done a ton of other cars and from what I know they don't have many problems. I thought I wouldn't have these problems with them. I am going to be there for the install this next time so I will make sure the side decals get put on in the right spot. Hopefully the hood will go on with no streaks or bubbles this time also. I will let everyone know.

Maybe they didn't tape it good enough and when they squeegeed it bunched up.It probably moved on them, with that crease I mean. I'm no expert,But after putting on graphics I think I can see what they might have done. Or maybe the other part was slick enough to move along when squeegeeing. Still somebody did a REAL amature job and should own up to it for sure.Good luck and I hope it's gets done right.
dodge rt 04-19-2008, 12:04 PM Josh,
The quarter panel stickers are really easy to install. The stripes on the hood are alot harder to install just because you have two and have to line them up perfectly and with the lines of the car. To save some money, you can install the side graphics yourself.
I never bought from Revo. but I must say that them stepping in there and making you a great deal to replace your graphics shows that they are a great company and that they care about people. Good job Revo.
josho66 04-20-2008, 08:17 AM I looked at that RapidTac video and on thier website. That looks like some really good stuff. I think that the graphics shop that did mine put it on dry and that is part of the problems. I might see if I buy some of the RapidTAC if they would use that to put them on. Worst case I might just see if they will refund my money and remove the decals that they put on. Then I can go somewhere else to have the new set put on.

It actually works great when it's just a little bit cold, Not real cold. It speeds up the drying process. The first one was alright when I did one side. But when it started to become colder and I had to do the other side that's when I decided to use the other. I didn't peel it right off like some websites do. I did the taping on each end and on top. You can adjust there too. Alot of back and forth measuring, Not a big deal. I really checked and rechecked alot. Then when I got it just right the wind blew it off. HAHAHAHA I couldn't use the painters tape anymore and I used Duct tape. I said that'll fix it for blowing off...............Hahhaha I hope you have everything solved soon.

Thanks for the info. I am going to go to another local shop and see how they do. I am going to explain what happened the first time and ask a bunch of questions. I am going to try and find someone that does a wet method and hopefully they will do a lot better job. Anything I need down the road I will use the Rapid Tac.

Don't think you are pushing. You just found a good product that really worked for you. I am going to ask what the places I call around to use and go with the place that seems to know the best and will cover thier work. Hope to get them redone next week or the following. Just waiting for my second set of graphics from Revolution.
