Didn't know services like this existed...
Are there gay-unfriendly cars then? :4-looney:

Quote from the site:

"...Before you go screaming from the computer with visions of your last rental car (probably a well-worn Dodge Stratus), let me assure you the Avenger is a strong competitor worthy of the gay dollar."

I personally do not care who endorses a vehicle that I like but what I find mystifying is this website exist to offer their endorsement. :4-dontknow:

Does anyone want to start up www.straightwheels.com. That way I can know which cars are straight friendly.
The big thing that bugs me is when people think that they should be treated special, just because they are different. Everyone should be treated and given respect evenly.
A couple of years ago a guy tried to start the "White European Male Society" purely as a joke and was attacked by the media, even had death threats.
I will stop now, as so to not offend anyone, "can't we all just get along"

I thought my seat hugged my tush a little too well.

This comment in now way was meant to offend anyone regardless of race, creed, religious beliefs or sexual orientation. Nor do they reflect the views and opinions of the owner(s) of this site. And now back to your regularly scheduled program!

Just a joke!

Well, I have a BLACK Avenger with LEATHER on the inside. Could this be a BDSM friendly machine? And the safetybelts are a little TIGHT ;)

Enough... I still am confused, because I think that all people should be treated the same,
so I don't see the need for a whatever-friendly car to begin with,

My sister drives a Ford Lightning, and her fiance drives... (drumroll please) a Mazda Miata! Seems a little off to me...

And the funny thing is, a good friend of ours is gay, and he has a buick lesabre and a ram 2500. His boyfriend drives a trailblazer. This whole 'gay car' thing doesn't mean anything. But it's good for a laugh!

The site is about companies that support equal rights for everyone. Gays & lesbians aren't asking for SPECIAL treatment. They are asking for EQUAL treatment.

The following is from the site.
"Gay-Friendly Factor

Research on the GLBT consumer shows that majority of us want to spend our money with companies that have progressive policies towards their GLBT employees. The only problem is, that information isn’t easy to find, until now.

Gaywheels.com has done the research and is offering a list of the gay-friendly manufacturers that sell vehicles in the USA. To be considered gay friendly, a manufacturer must offer domestic-partner benefits to their GLBT employees, no matter where they live or work in the US.

Once you are armed with the information, you have the choice whether or not to spend your money with companies that are gay friendly. Of course, we encourage you to vote with your checkbook and support companies who treat their GLBT employees equally."

Hey, that's great info! I'm glad Chrysler makes their list, it ticks me off to no end when people refuse to treat their employees fairly. Regardless of how anyone feels about gays, it's beyond archaic to deny them the same benefits that straights get.
