Take some before and after pics and post them if you can. :) I prefer the white led's (i think they look cool) but would be interested in seeing other ideas. :)

Look at the superlumination link again. They show a link for 578 festoon's but when you visit that link none of them specifically say "578". Doesn't mean they aren't or wont work, and it leads me to believe there is a slightly different number for the same bulb.
What I would do is pull a bulb, measure it and then try to match it up on their site with a picture and the size. You should be able to fins something that works.
Aside from that, you may be able to remove the existing led from the package its in and replace it with another led from a place like www.digikey.com (http://www.digikey.com) . I haven't actually looked to see what would all be involved in something like that though.

I'm a newbie and may be in the wrong thread, if so I apologize and please send me elsewhere. I've recently purchased a 2008 Avenger, but the dome light is broken. I picked up a used one with reading lights hoping to upgrade. However my avenger has only 2 wires (brn/wht in mid slot, Blk on one side and blank on 3rd slot). The used dome light with reading lites & switches has 3 wires.(Blk on mid slot, grn/red on one side and blu/blk on other side). I need help. My thought is put Black from 2-wire Avenger in middle with spliter of brn/wht to the 2 outside posts on the replacement connector? thanks in advance.
2 wire:
Hot = brn/wht
Ground = Black
used dome light with reading lites & switches has 3 wires.(Blk on mid slot, grn/red on one side and blu/blk on other side
grn/red = hot
blk/blue = hot
Blk in mid slot = ground
These are my guesses.
I would tie brn/wht to grn/red and blk/blue and tie black to Black.
My bet though is that you will probably only get lights when you open the door or turn on the dome. You would probably need a new always on Hot to get reading lights. But again, Im guessing
