For those that didn't see in the newbie thread, here is my Avenger. I added the R/T emblems on the sides, painted the calipers, added the grille mesh, chrome roof trim, and tinted the windows. The whole car pics is before I added the mesh.

How much did you pay for the emblems on the sides? Did you get those off ebay too?

I can't tell from the pics what the chrome roof trim looks like. Or maybe I'm looking at the wrong pic?

Yeah, I got them off of e-bay as well. They were about $15 bucks each. I had to buy them individually, noone was selling a pair at the time. A search for R/T emblems should turn up a few items. Just check and see what the total is for a pair versus individually first, cause it might be cheaper to get them seperately. The roof trim is also on ebay. It goes on right on top of the black strip above the doors with 3M tape that is included with it. If you search "2008 dodge avenger", it should be one of the items that comes up. They have pics with and without the trim for you to see.

What percent tint do you have all the way around?
Did you take the plastic chrome cover off your rims?

I had another question but I forgot that fast.

It is 20% all the way around. What do you mean about the plastic chrome cap? It's still on there. I am also ordering the front and rear headlight and taillight tinting film on e-bay right now. I am going for the slightly lighter ones, I don't want to have any issues at night.

I mean hubcap. Most RT's I've seen has chrome wheels. I've been wondering what the wheels look like under the chrome hubcap on the RT's

Yeah, I still would like to see what wheels is under there... I'll have to pay attention when I get new tires.

I guess I am either missing the joke, or you are serious and just confused. There is no hubcap, that is the other version of wheel you can get besides the chrome one. I love chrome don't get me wrong, but not the ones that come on the Avenger too much. It's solid aluminum, no hubcap.

No joke at all... This wheel, 18 that's on my avenger is chrome yes but it's a hubcap. It's not solid aluminum dipped in chrome... I never realized it wasn't real chrome until I touched it the night after I brought the car. If you look closely at the wheel weight, you can see and the valve stem, you can see that it's a separate piece from the actual wheel.

Wow, I have never seen those. They do have solid chrome ones though, not caps. They have a slight angle to each spoke unlike mine and yours.

My friend, those are hubcaps. I don't know if that's the official term... but that's exactly what they are. look at the valve stem area... The dark area, then look at the pictures I posted and look at the same area.

Well I'll be darned. I did not know that those were just covers. Makes em seem a little cheesy if you ask me. Could they not just do real chrome rims?

Well if you don't touch them or look at em to long you wont tell... sucks...

I thought I saw in the book they did have a actually chrome wheel, but they were only 17's...

They are called chrome "clad" wheels or something like that. And they are a upgrade! I haven't had the wheels off the car yet, so I'm not 100% sure if they come off the actual wheel or are attached to it somehow, but they are not totally chromed wheels.
