I have had this happen to me twice, and I know why it happened to me. I had bumped my knee into the keys hanging down and actually turned off the ignition. It turns off very easily, so be careful. I had to take off the new dodge keychain that I had put on because it was too long.

There is a recall for this it has to do with the TPMS system. certain plugs in the engine wire harness are not used and not "capped". when water or dirt enters these plugs it causes a host of problums...one of them is unexpected shutdowns. Saftey recal # is H07 I will put money that this is the cause of your problums....Hope I was able to help.

I used to have a Dodge Dakota truck and sometimes when I was in cruise control, the truck would just go dead. It happened to me three times and it is a very erie feeling, especially in traffic. I told the dealer about it but I never did find out what caused it.

yah Iremembered one thing when I called to tell them about my problem i directly called the british manager and told him everything. He said that this kind of problem regularly occurs in "Chargers" but for the first time he receives a complain regarding an Avenger !!

Well lets hope that what they did fixed the problem. That is just odd that the Chargers over there are seeing this problem regularly. Did they find the problem for them? Maybe it is the same issue.
