View Full Version : programmer davect01 12-14-2007, 07:06 PM Has anyone had success with a programmer for the 2.4l engine? Zonestar 12-14-2007, 08:58 PM This has been discussed on the CaliberforumZ since that's the engine in the R/T. The 2.4l has dual variable valve timing and anything that alters the timing would not have a positive effect on the engine. Actually the same valve design is use in all the "World Engines" It seems the only safe way to do performance upgrades is with a CAI and upgrade exhaust system. I think I saw a post before where Jet had came out with a programmer but I have not researched it. It seems rather limited in what can be done. Zonestar 12-15-2007, 11:54 AM I read about the Jet chip previously and you might see up to 10hp gain for $260.00. The 2.4l is not going to get much better then the way it comes from the factory. Quiet Lunatic 12-15-2007, 12:56 PM If and when the Dodge Demon hits the market with its 2.4L, then you might see a programer come out for the 2.4L. If the Demon does come true, my Avenger R/T will have a little bro. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mbFrnM1EAw&eurl=http://in.truveo.com/Dodge-Demon-Concept-Design-Insight-Video/id/4067592590 Zonestar 12-15-2007, 02:16 PM If the Demon does make it out, I can already see GM losing sells of their 2-seater. Quiet Lunatic 12-15-2007, 02:33 PM I agree Zonestar. Not only will the Demon be faster, but it looks alot better. |
