my girlfriends 96 avenger has a serious starter issue. about 2 weeks ago she got in turned the key on had power and then tried starting her car. nothing happened. she had a friend check it and he assumed that the starter was bad. keep in mind that she has had NO starter problems at all till now. Well they replaced the starter and everything was fine, until today. Same thing, she was leaving a major department store and turned the key and nothing. Now i checked the battery terms. the connections to the starter, voltage is present at the starter but the solenoid doesn't even click when you turn the key. i jumped the solenoid out and the starter turned over. I believe that i am loosing a ground or another part of the starting circuit. Any advise would be great

Have you checked the Two white fusible links on the + terminal ???
Those tend to corrode and cause intermittant starter troubles

Have you Tried Wiggling the Shifter ??? Or trying to start in Neutral (Bad Switch in the shifter)
