Lets find out what is the most popular color among owners of the Avenger. I listed the colors that were on Dodge's website as of 11/10/07.

BBP here..I almost exclusively own red or black cars...had one gray one in there for about a year though...gray..yuck! :p

I have always bought blue vehicles for myself and the wife usually picks some shade of gray. She asked me not to buy another blue car this time. When I drove up in a white vehicle she just looked at me.:)

we've only had white or neutral coloured cars here. My wife picked out this colour too. Next car will be a real colour

light sandstone pearl for me. looks great, even when a little dirty. Had a few dark colored cars and the always looked dirty, even after a wash.

always had light colored cars before and they didn't look mean enough.. hehe.. black all the way - even if I'm washing once a week:)

lol, you got that right, although its every couple weeks with snow n crud kickin around....never owned black before, washing frequently seems to be a necessary evil though....coincidentally, just did it this morning, looks pretty sharp on a snow background i will admit:smiley_thumbs_up:

I enjoy some of the colors Dodge has to offer, but I still can't understand why they charge extra for red and orange... That is the main reason why I won't buy those colors. I like the stone white, and I plan to have white wheels at some point in time... That is my own opinion though. Maybe that is another thread all together, "What colors should have Dodge choose?"

I know one thing for sure, Anyone looking at new Avenger on the lot check the paint for scratches etc.. There were three with scratches at two different dealers. Not on doors,But in door wells,The edge of hood,and trunk.

I saw one at the dealer that I am working with that had small dings in the rear doors. Had some nice wheels on it though!

I am surprised at how few Sandstone and Silver Avengers have voted!! Are there truly that few or are they just less likely to visit the Forumz?

I would have thought Sunburst Orange was the least common. It seems like I never see anybody else with the same color. Which is fine with me, since it makes my car a little more unique. The way things are going with Chrysler, LLC and the Avenger, My Sunburst Orange R/T AWD might be a collectors item in a few years!!!;)

bright silver shows dirt as well as any color car I've ever owned. if I decide to invest the money a few years down the road it will change to a blue, modern blue would have been my pick if I had spec'd out the car from scratch

I love my car being modern blue I at first wanted black but I am so glad i went modern! Someone is going to have to add the two new colors to the polls also: TorRed and Deep Water Blue Pearl

I read elsewhere that the orange and red are a three coat system rather then 2 coats for the other colors? not sure why this is unless they have a color shift effect. I am assuming it is a base color, a tint, and then a clear or another pearl on top of it, although someone with one of these finishes may better be able to tell what and how noticable any effect it has.

It may also have to do with the cost of the paint. The reason farmers barns are usually painted red is because, back in the day, red was the cheapest color.

First I wanted the Modern Blue Pearl, but decided it was too nondescript.
After that it was a choice between the Sunburst Orange or Marathon Blue. My son liked the orange, it looked sharp, it's unique, so that's what we got.
I still love the Marathon Blue, though!

The colors are for the current version of the Avenger.

I just added DWP to the poll so our members that have that color can vote for it.

Wow looks like BBP is the popular color. Thats what I have of course lol. The orange was my first choice however it was not available. Black was my second. Those were the only ones that really grabbed me. Blue was ok but I was trading in a blue car...wanted something I never had before.

I had a toss up between the Inferno Red & the Modern Blue..
Well I chose the Modern Blue IMO it seems classier, & after I tint it out & do some other details, I will only have about 4,000 other mods & I'll be ALL done.

The red I liked, but knew I would grow tired of it quickly..Or get too many tickets :wow:

Sunburst Orange all the way. the color stands out so much. and it looks awesome after the car is clean and waxed. and its also not as common as other colors which makes it better too

It's true, the BBP does require frequent washes but does look stunning in the sun.
Sunburst orange was my second choice but they only had the light silver ones.
I don't know about other places but here in Montreal, about 6 out of every 10 cars
are some shade of silver.
So I had them fetch me a black one from another dealer.

Living in the Nevada desert, black was out of the question. The Bright Silver Metallic was the only other color choice available when I bought my 2008 Avenger R/T AWD with the options I wanted. I would have liked Deep Water Blue.

After a having a black car in the past I said I would never buy another black car but the colour effect in the black pearl when it's in the sun is just stunning. Yes it's a lot of work to keep clean but when you see it sparkle it makes it worthwhile.
I would've loved the sunburst orange but we didn't have a choice, we wanted a diesel and the only one available was a black. Alls good, love what we got, who know's maybe we'll win lotto and then we can have one of each colour. ;);):doh:

Mine is light sandstone metallic and it looks so good with tinted windows. I'm hoping to muscle it up like the old 74 challenger we had back in the day!

Mind is Silver Steel, The only two colors I didnt want were the Silver (wife says looks like a rental car) and Blue (last 3 cars were blue) Wanted the R/T but they only had in blue so I bought the Silver and it has really grown on me, I like the fact that in certain lighting it looks green!

Well my first one was silver steel but I know own the Inferno Red and I have to say I really like that color better. I thought it would show all the dirt but its not bad at all, which i am glad because it tough washing it on one leg!! LOL

Mine is Bright Silver Metallic..It was the only one on the lot..It was used.. It is a 2008 and it had only 12,400 miles on it. Was able to get it for $11,400 Thought that was a pretty good deal!!

I had mine painted 'dodge blue' . with i think 6 coats of clear? can't remember it's been a while ago. i'll try to post a pic of it soon, can't today, as i haven't washed it for over a week , darn heat(100+ degree temps) :(

My current color is Bright Silver but I hope to change it to Sunburst Orange in the near future !!

It looks like brilliant black pearl has a 3-1 lead. I would of never thought it. I guess there being 2 different shades of silver is why I thought i see more Silver Avenger then most other colors.

I also have the Brilliant Black on my R/T. Was considering the Modern Blue but I always seem to wind up with Black or Slate.

I don't think it is hard to keep clean. It is not nearly as bad as black. When there is a chip on the car, the white does show this much more than the black though...

Sorry but I think Inferno Red is. lol We almost got the orange but finally opted for red.

yep black for me ,looks mean and stands out in the crowd. some of my mate's say the car remindes them of the police car in the Transformes film. i do tend to wash it every other day . friends think i have a compulsive disorder lol. i just like it clean and you can only realy see the metal fleck in good sunlight. if id gone for any other colour it would have been a blue,with a nice white strip from trunk to hood.

We could, but here is the issue... The polls only allow a maximum of 10 answers. So since we have more than 10 color options, then we would have to remove a couple of the colors. So we would need to decide which colors need to be removed... :4-dontknow:

I've always liked silver but i opted to go with the Modern Blue instead for my Avenger :)
