I want to add some lights to my interior but I don't know where I can tap power from. I want to be able to turn the lights on even if the car if off (LED's, wont use much power), I was thinking the 12V outlet in the center console that is always on? Thoughts?

That will work, if you want to access that power without occupying the outlet itself you can pop out the chrome ring around shifter, the little front black trey and the large brownish console peice, and you can get to the wire very easily from there, its only like 22 guage wire or something small, but its always on, and what i used for all my aftermarket lights, and a switch near there to turn it all off.
Hope this helps:3-smash:

Awesome reply. Thanks man. I was thinking the wire was pretty thin, but im only running two led modules maybe 1.5 amps each.. If I could only find a way through the firewall, tried going through side of the door and everything else.. Ill try the light test tonight.

Should be a big rubber grommet on the firewall where wires are running inside the car for ur gauges. Use a hanger and tape the wire ur gonna use on it. Then push the hanger through the grommet. To ground em, simply run a wire to the chassis.

Its up just above the brake mounting point to the left (outside) there is a large square cover if you remove it the grommet is behind that.

Make sure if you are running wires through the firewall (or anywhere, for that matter) that you install an inline fuse on the SOURCE side of the positive. IE: if you're tapping the battery side of the firewall, put the fuse close to the battery, prior to going through the firewall; and if you're bringing current from inside the vehicle to an accessory in the engine bay that it is fused inline somewhere inside, prior to going through the firewall.
Otherwise, if something shorts at some point down the road, you could have a slow drain on the battery (leave the car sit for two days, and the battery is dead), or in the worse case, a wire that heats up and starts a fire.
