I'm looking for an intake for my 2008 Se but I'm not sure if the ones I am finding are worth the price and/or carb legal. I live in Ca so it has to be carb legal. Any suggestions on intakes?

If they are CARB legal they usually say so. Leadfootluke 09-16-2011, 03:50 PM Hmmm, I don't know. I think K&N's intake might be but that is probably the only one. If they are CARB legal they usually say so. That is true, but the K&N was the most underwhelming performance wise on many platforms. On the LX platform [Hundreds of California car owners with the same concern], many people run intakes that are not carb legal and switch it at emissions testing Solrac805 09-17-2011, 04:41 PM Thats what I was thinking of doing but idk if I want to deal with having to keep the stock one around drumaway91 09-18-2011, 12:46 PM K&N's intake IS NOT CARB legal :/ I live in MASS where we also follow the stupid CA emissions rules so I looked around and i couldn't find one that is legal for us Solrac805 09-19-2011, 01:22 AM Looks like I'll have to wait a while for my intake maybe I'll save up for an exhaust in the mean while drumaway91 09-19-2011, 06:57 AM Thats what I did. I got my exhaust, then as soon as I got my car inspected I bought the intake and installed it. |
