Your defiantly going to like the braking performance :)
Also, I just found out recently....make sure your caliper sliders are good and move freely. Apparently my Passenger side caliper has been hanging up and its chewing the outside of the rotor :(

@brr I have silicone lube/grease, what are you using anti-seize?
    • DodgeThis
@brr how bad is the damage?
    • 5rebel9
@brr , I feel your dismay about that. I reside just southeast of you, out in the "sticks", WNY winters and rust gremlins are hard on our brake components for sure. They don't call us the RUST BELT area for nothing!

Yeah, It's not often people actually hear that a "Brake Service" is needed for maintenance. It involves cleaning the area, cleaning and regreasing the sliders, and replacing the Anti Rattle clips where needed.
My Antirattle clips are not AntiRattling anymore causing the calipers to make a tinty metal type noise and the sliders on my right caliper are causing it not to slide back. Or at least I think the sliders are gummed up....
      Dodge this,
To me I feel the rotor needs to be turned as there is an outer lip now near where the pad rides...

@brr I've been told by countless auto shops that you cannot turn slotted and drilled rotors -- so, are you turning them yourself?
    • brr
Most shops are afraid of turning drilled and slotted rotors as they think it will tear up there cutting bits. If you turn the rotors ever so slightly the drilled and slotted areas won't effect the cutting bits. I personally did this before on a set of Power Slot rotors I had on my Neon R/T with no issues.
This also takes into consideration that the lathe is in spec and the rotor is mounted properly....
I can't afford to replace my rotors after one year because of a caliper hanging, these Hawk rotors were not cheap and there warranty won't cover calipers hanging and wearing there rotors prematurely.
