so I'm trying to figure out what's going on here. the avenger likes to randomly shut off. and if I pull the pcm fuse an put it back in it will start back up. who ever had the vehicle before removed the etc fuse and bypassed it by pinching the leads together. I replaced that fuse an now the ABS an traction control light is on also the had the wrong size fuse in the "vehicle hot" spot which i guess is not required also the fuse for the ASD was wrong too. would this cause BCM to over heat an shut down the car??

That's a tough one, sounds like you've opened a can of worms. If the wrong fuses were used it could have caused more damage down the line. Something is triggering the ASD to shut down the car so the whole TIPM may have been compromised. Who knows what the previous owner did to the car.
