Once in awhile, when I go in reverse, the car sputters, and I put it in neutral, and rev it, and it's fine. The car only has 32,500 on it. It was my dad's car.

The oil is fine, but we do live in U.P. of MI......suggestions?

That's very low mileage for a 9 year old car. Sounds like it's been sitting for a while. Try putting a can of Sea Foam in your fuel tank. Might need a good run on the highway. Injectors might be sticking, filters and plugs may need changing. There may be condensation in the fuel tank from sitting. Fuel line anti-freeze may help.
