I have about 6k put aside for this project and was wondering how I would go about getting a custom supercharger belt fed into my avenger and what kind of place would do such an intense project

That would be quite the achievement. Many members here have talk about it for quite a while. Best of luck.

Because there is NO bolt on kit for the 2.4, a Specialty SPEED SHOP that does these kind of "mods" would have to be found in your area that would be willing to undertake such a "custom job". As with Intrepid's last sentence, Best of luck!

all super chargers are belt powered.
Do you mean something like this: [IMG]

    Or something like this:

You can do both but there is nothing that is premade for our cars so a lot of fab work would be required.

Not trying to be the "negative Nancy" here but you will be spending over 6k easy for a custom SC kit. Than you have to think about how the tranny and internals will hold up.

My suggestion is, get rid of a 2.4 and get a 3.6 Avenger. You will likely have more power than a SCd 2.4 with less money into it and less headaches...

That's my 2 pennies for today!

It could be done on a stock motor unless they are trying to run more than 5lbs of boost. The turbo caliber was only running 5lbs on stock.
They do make a FI cams that will fit the 2.4L

Some people just like fixing up what they have.
