Hey guys. Not sure if anyone has put an engine block heater on, but is it worth it? It got down to the negatives last year and Im afraid that the cold temps is very bad for the car. Of course I always let my car warm up, but an engine block heater I think would help the longevity, but not sure what to get and or how to install.

Thanks

There are 2 types of "block heaters". One requires removing a specified soft plug in the block for installation. The other goes into the lower radiator hose. In my experience neither is needed with a properly maintained engine and a good battery. The oil used in these cars should not be a problem with getting too thick when cold. NOW if you had a DIESEL, then YES a block heater.
