Have the week off so I figured I'd give it a go. Plugs, pcv, plenum & tb gaskets, cam sensor seal, oil change. It was time since I'm at 92k now. I was amazed at how clean the tb was, I expected it to be all gunked up. She ran great before but I'm sure she'll be like a new car now.

Nice. I've got to do mine in the near future. Which PCV did you end up going with?

Airtex/wells 6p1393 (pcv) & Airtex/wells 6p1396 for the hose. Get ready for a lot of swearing or have someone with small hands to help.

Just a word of advice...don't turn the key at all, I turned mine to acc, after you've disconnected any electrical connectors. I pulled 5 codes when I started the car after I was done. They finally cleared themselves though.

Was your throttle body never cleaned before??? I DId a tuneup today and took about 1,5 hours for my gf to clean throttle body. It was covered all over in almost one millmeter thick brown goo  my car has driven now 126 tkm which is about 15 thousand miles less than yours

I have never before had a car that demands removing intake manifold to change plugs so this operation took a little longer than I thought it would :D but luckily I had a new pvc to change at the same time with plugs and air filter.

I wondered what is the point that air intake that comes in to the box goes so long that it almost touches the filter element? And so the place where intake goes in the element was very dirty and other areas of the filter surface much cleaner. To me it sounds odd that it was done so that most of the filter surface is not used to draw air through. So I decided to cut about 1,5 inches away from that tube, lets see if next time filter looks more evenly dirty.

The throttle body had never been cleaned before. I've owned the car since it had 9700 miles.

I've never looked inside the top of the air box but now that you mention it part of my filter does get much more dirty than Thebes's rest of it

I mean't the duct in the lower airbox. There is a duct that comes from air intake under the hood. Maybe my english messed up what I meant :)
