It is turning into a LONG, LONELY WINTER not hearing from any COUPE owners. With most now being 19+ years old, am I the only one still daily driving this great model?
I would surely love to chat about our experiences with another COUPE owner or two!

I def. understand protecting yours thru the winter! Been dying to find out of the rough running concern you had with your last postings, but did not want to barrage you. Hope all is going well on your homefront and rest of your "stable" of rides!

SPRING is rapidly approaching, Don't you think it is about time to start "peeking" under that car cover SOON? Need to have ALL "gripes" worked off and QC inspected for soonest possible "lift off" of the season!...LOL:D

Well a month and a half has gone by since I started this thread, and WINTER is STILL with us here in areas of NY! Our Coupe has been "soldiering" on well thru this never ending season. The only problem I have faced with our "GEM" is that I had to replace the fuel filter due to it springing a leak under its clam shell metal holder, but all has been good since!
I thank member Blackhawk for his response earlier, BUT where are the rest of the "FEW and the PROUD" COUPE owners?

Still here. Mine is running strong, minus a wheel vibration and a trans leak.

I got the opportunity last evening to take a nice drive of 100 mile round trip with the coupe, as most know the wife is the main driver. Half 2 lane normal roads and half on 65 mph limited access highway! Was actually a nice low 40*'s day and I loved watching the heads turn of drivers in passing cars to "eyeball" our GEM! One fellow in a newer Yukon Denali actually paced me on the highway and then gave me the THUMBS UP just before he took an exit! YES I used the cruise control thru all area's and on the highway set to the various speed limits for the whole trip, Had the "tunes" cranking to my fav "oldies" station and had a blast! Almost 21 years old now(the Avenger) and doing GREAT!

Forgot to mention what a BLAST it was to punch the throttle and launch to higher posted speeds! Love having that pistol grip shift lever that falls right to the hand along it's rather high center console! Kind of feels like a jets cockpit behind the wheel!..LOL:D

I find myself pushing mine across the mountains here.
She needs new struts though, mine are blown and leaking.

Well SUMMER is almost officially here, although the weather for me says it's been here for some time! Besides normal things all do with keeping our rides running. I have downsized from the factory 17's to 16x7 alloy Caravan rims, the taller(not by much) 205/55's make the ride much more pleasant on our unrepaired cratered roads here. Today I also ordered new front struts and and front and rear brake rotor/pads set by Powerstop thru rockauto! The ORIGINAL struts up front showed a bit of weakness going around the Watkins Glen racecourse yesterday, and the brake linings are getting a bit THIN and have not been renewed in a long time. It is going to get a pad upgrade from semi metallics(lots of brake dust) to ceramic pads, as I said of doing when I did that type on my daughters Kia Spectra a year ago.
SO, come on my fellow COUPE members....POST UP and tell us what you are up to with yours!;)
