Every car purchase has a story and history, whats yours?
Mine was back in 2010 I saw the Avenger in a shopping mall and fell in love. I was building a very rare bike prodject at the time so it wasnt a viable option, after 7yrs of building the bike the bike, I had some spare cash and with selling the prodject I had a few cars in mind.
No1 was the Avenger, but as they are so scares and non were around almost gave up.
No2 was the SLK Mercedes 2 seater.
    No3 was the BMW Z3.
    No4 Dodge Nitro
    No5 Ford Ranger.
I was about to put the deposit on the SLK, when a non reserve Ebay Avenger came up, like all of us alarm bells were ringing but gave it a shot....And boy did it pull off, moral is never give up on your number 1 dream, its far to easy to sell out.
I guess it maybe different in the US but here every other car is a BMW, Audi or a Merc, 1 in 10000 is a Dodge.
I will put picks of bike that became a Dodge up later

My Baby came to me in 2014 via a Trade in at the dealership I was working at, Used cars didn't want to keep it as it was in ther words and "Ugly Duckling" she is a 2007 with Grey Leather (not optioned with the hard to get black) with the 2.4 (not the 2.7 or 3.5 V6) and Bright Orange :D the other benefit was it had full Dodge service history and only 78,000km (46,000 mile).

I had always loved the shape of the Avenger as they looked like a baby Charger (that we were never offered in Australia)

    Ben :)

I was in the market for a new car in about May 2013. I was considering a Chevrolet Impala as my first choice. I recall making a list of about 5 new cars I liked, and the last one I put on the list was Dodge Avenger. I had almost forgotten the Avenger existed and wasn't sure they still made them because I hadn't seen any ads for them in quite a while. The Dart had been getting a lot of publicity since it debuted about a year before. Anyway, the more I thought about it, the more I liked the Avenger. Around late August I started seriously looking around and researching it, and I soured on the all-new 2014 Impala due to the high price and its high-tech features that I didn't need or want. Suddenly the Avenger looked like the best value for me and I loved that it came with an optional V6 in the low priced SE trim. I was hearing that the Avenger was soon to be discontinued, and went to 4 or 5 Dodge dealers in September and none of them had a new V6 Avenger. There were a few 4 cylinder Avengers, but not many. I was almost ready to give up on the Avenger, because nobody knew if any more would be coming in. Finally after calling around, I found a dealer that had several new V6 Avengers on the lot. I drove there on a Saturday in mid-September and made the deal on a white 2014 V6 SE. It was the only base model they had with the V6. Drove it home that day and was so happy. As it turned out, I did notice 1 or 2 new Avengers like mine on dealer's lots as late as summer of 2014. Still, I was glad I got mine when I did because they were not easy to find.

I drove about 2 hours out of town to go purchase a black Grand Prix GTP coupe at a dealership. Before I left for the trip I had the salesman send me a ton of pics and the car looked like it was in very good shape. I got there and was immediately disappointed in the paint(scratches all over, etc). Being disappointed me and my father walked into the dealership anyways to meet with the salesman. Inside on the showroom floor was a black 2013 Dodge Avenger R/T with the "Z" striped seats. I saw it and was in love and loved the unusual seats. My dad being a big GM guy loved the car and said "this is what you should really get". Met with the salesman and decided to not even drive the GTP and took the Avenger out- this after the Avenger wouldn't even start because someone left one of the dome lights on so the battery was dead. Took it out and liked the snappy quickness. Got back, put the cash I was going to use on the GTP down and rest is history.

My Avenger is my first car which i bought in early 2016 about a month after getting my license at age of 18.
I've been a big Dodge/Mopar fan since i was little boy and always dreamed of owning Dodge vehicles.

In 2009 we were looking for new car for mom to replace our 1999 VW Passat. At the dealership they went to check out few years newer Passat but it was so boring. LOL Then i saw a 2007 Marine blue Dodge Caliber SE there and went to look at it. Liked it a lot and said if they would consider that.
They kept it secret from me at first till it was time to go pick it up couple days later, damn i was happy boy. :D
First Caliber served us well and in 2013 we traded it in for 2008 Brilliant black Dodge Caliber SXT which still is in family.

As mentioned above many years before even getting my license i was looking at different Dodge's.
I was checking at Caliber R/T's, Avenger's with 2.0 petrol and CRD engines and Caliber SRT4 tho that was a bit too expensive atm. After thinking a while CRD was out of question because it has motive power tax that petrol cars do not have, also because VW diesels do have lot of expensive problems which are very common and at last because i like petrol cars more.
I really liked the Baby-Charger look of Avenger and finally found 2008 Sunburst Orange Dodge Avenger 2.4 SXT that looked stunning. I then went and bought it from private sale. I've owner my Avenger for +2 years now and like it a lot!
Along the years i've been doing some "mods" and kept it looking sharp.

Well the wife saw it out for sale (private owner) along her route to work. At the time we were looking for a first car for the daughter.Wife thought she would like it, so to keep the wife happy we bought it, needed minor normal things for its age, but the worst work was doing the alternator and VC gaskets and seals. Needless to say, daughter did NOT like it. Wife took it for her to drive and with normal servicing has been a dependable FUN car to drive. Ended up getting daughter a 98 ESCORT, she loved that until the underbody started to rot out! Our coupe is the same age and going STRONG!

Picked mine up in November, 2017. Private seller ad, the picture I use as my avatar actually. It was 2 months after my 2006 Impreza motor blew, so I was incredibly happy to once again sideline the 420k mile Saturn I originally moved on from. Met the lady about an hour and a half away from where I live. Her 18 year old daughter was the one presently using the car, but for the most part was very well taken care of. Minor ding on the passenger side, sun damage to the roof/hood. These were incredibly minor to me, as their original ad for the vehicle was simply "2008 Avenger." Condition of the vehicle was stated, mileage, clean title, etc. But, not a single peep that it was an R/T, AWD, or premium packaging (excluding the DVD system). When I saw it in person, damn did I get googebumps. Took her for a spin, and told them to shut up and take my money!

....except they didn't. They were waiting for the daughter's father to give them money as a down payment on a new car, thus could not relinquish the Avenger until that was done. Three hours of mine, and my father's time utterly wasted. I was devastated! They promised to remove the ad, which of course they did not. However; they kept in constant contact and a week later offered to drive it all the way to my area to drop it off! Had the title in my hand, and had her for about ~6000 miles/~3 months. And.... that's when my "Won't start after stall" thread came to be. So, if all goes planned, I will be getting my 'Venge back...AGAIN... this Monday!

Hot damn! You got yourself a great buddy there! That's awesome to hear. I've always been one that was never too fond of the redesigned Chargers, as they never looked original to me. But; the Avenger being toted as a "Baby Charger," I fell in love with one the first time I saw it. I had completely forgotten about the coupe models, thought the 2008 was the first intro to the model. Was pleasantly surprised to know I have seen my share of the OG rides before!

My G5 was getting pretty beat up, and I had no idea what I wanted to get next. I was literally just bouncing around dealer websites until I saw the red blacktop and I was hooked.

We were waiting for Costco's to open. Went across the street to dealership to kill some time . The wife spotted the Avenger sitting there and fell in love with it. Came back a week later and bought it.

My '03 Pontiac Grand Am had been stolen (I guess they are easy to steal and quick to part out for chop shops... go figure), and I only had a winter 4x4 pickup... wanted another small sedan.

My only criteria are a car that 1) looks cool, 2) is common on the road and sold a ton so parts are easy and cheap and 3) has been around a few years in Europe and/or US and is free of any major known major problems in its model.

Dodge has been making the best looking and reviewed American vehicles for the last 5-10years, so it was my top choice to get an Avenger with Pontiac G6 or G8 or Grand Am or Chrysler 200 as other possible options. I test drove a Charger and 300 for the heck of it also but hated their handling. Being in Detroit, I found a lot of cars for sale, both green title and salvage, and picked up the best value I could... rebuild 2010 black R/T.
