Lights are dimming , and dash lights pop up and speedo goes all up, like car has shut off and came back on. Battery is 2 months old. Disconnected battery and car shut off.
Does this sound like an alternator issue?

It is a POSSIBILITY, but there may be other causes. Not knowing which motor in your 2012 Avenger is stopping me from offering what other things may be causing your cars symptoms. The 2.4 and3.6 utilize different type alternators, but the most common to both is poor condition / dirty battry terminal connectors.
