Yup 2013 dodge avenger sxt. Been having some very random horn toots pretty well since I bought it in January. Today however was not just toots but full on horn honking from being intermittent to continuous. Nothing I tried worked to stop it and finally after a couple minutes it petered off and stopped. I have read about it possibly being from within the tipm or from the key fob and car heater...idk about the tipm but I do know I never had any heat hitting my fob while in the ignition when the major honking occurred. My car has only 60,000 original kms on it so I don't think it's a wear kind of issue but who knows...it's certainly not an isolated one from what i have been reading...
Im open to any other ideas to try and fix this..

I've read maybe the clock spring among other things.
Wondering now where exactly are the horns located? Under the headlights behind the fender liner?

The horns are under the headlights but you'll need to remove the bumper cover to get at them if you need to.

Mine did the same thing I ended up disconecting my horn. Just couldn't handle it. It made me crazy. Lol Good Luck.

Update: took car into dodge dealer for the stall and the horn issue. They diagnosed and have no definitive answers. They drove it and it stalled for them and I also showed them a video of the horn going off with lights and all flashing..
Their conclusion is guess based with it maybe being a fuel pump for the stalling issue and the cruise control switch for my horn issue..
Idk I'm not feeling to confident with either suggested fixes..

Sounds like you should stay away from that dealer Is there another dealer nearby or a mechanic with a good reputation that friends or family can recommend?
