Hey guys, first time posting. Just a quick question.

I'm relatively new to doing things on my own, and I've been watching videos of replacing rotors and all, and I got the caliper off the front. Everything was going well until I couldn't get the rotor off, at all. There's a giant nut holding the rotor on, and my buddy said it's the axle nut and that needs to come off to pull off the rotor. Has anyone had this similar problem? My Avenger is a 2011 lux.

I've tried hitting the edges with a hammer and rotating it as I go, but there's no luck. Just getting the rust off.

That nut only holds the hub assembly onto the cv axle shaft, it does not hold the rotor on. What you need is a bfh to beat the hell out of the back side of the rotor.
