I am glad I found this... I did this after putting in the ported throttle body and it made a huge difference...

    Noticed the difference

I just joined the forums yesterday, hence my late start..

I tried the throttle recalibration technique, and noticed a slight difference..
    (the 15sec. one)
I have always wondered why I got that hesitation when stepping on the peddle, even not a full throttle..

Take it from a newbie, it does make a slight difference..
    Thank you..

I sure hope it works. I have a 08 Avenger and this is the second time it's done it. The 1st time my mechanic cleaned out the air filter and it seemed to help for a bit. got hurt at work and have some partial disability issues so can't afford to be stranded. Just went out to try it, now giving it the hour just in case. If it works, you will be my new idol....lol

I tried this along with a flash reset and it completely changed how my car accelerates from a dead stop and it gets up and goes even when I'm going 70+mi/h. It feels like how it was fresh off the lot

I did this to Caliber getting a huge difference to better acceleration, response and smoothness in shifting. To Avenger I did it at first when bought the car so can not tell if it did help a lot or not, but previous results were so good that couldn't wait to do it :D

At least now YOU know it is done! And yes from the many posts on the subject, if it has been done, it DOES make a noticeable improvement!
Now how about a formal introduction of yourself and nice Avenger on the Newbie Check in page, so all can know of you other than "chancing" onto one of your postings. Glad to have you on board with us!

This way of resetting the etc electronic throttle control totally works. I have a 2.7 with 180,000 k . This is the first problem ever. But I do my own maint. Since car was new. The reason I posted cause I don't see alot of info out there for the 2.7, which is an awesome motor. And I have tinkered with it, so if I can help
