I took delivery on my brand spanking new car about three weeks ago. Immediately my fiancé noticed that the headliner wasn't snapped to t he roof, by the back windshield. It look like the two black circular clips aren't clipped. We were both worried about breaking the headliner, if we put pressure on the clips ourselves, so back to the dealer. They kept it for half a day, the car also came with a pretty bad paint chip, which theY fixed that same day.
When I came to pick up the car, the dealer said the headliner drooping is a factory defect. They would have to order a new headliner from the factory, which could take about two weeks to come in. They also said it could take a few days to instal, in which case I would be given a rental. My main concern is that when they replace the headliner, the rest of the car will have to be taken apart. I am really worried about seeing marks from where the sunroof rim, sunroof controls, and visors will be removed.
I have done a lot of Googling, and I have not found anyone with this factory defect. Has this happen to anyone else? How did it turn out?
