Can the trunk be opened with no battery?

My 2011 has finally given up and driven its last mile. The alternator went out, and as a result, the electrical system is now underpowered. I am in the process of getting my stuff out, but had a few things in the trunk. There was enough power for the locks to open, but the trunk release won't work. I hear a click, but it does not pop. It was working perfectly fine before the alternator went out, so I don't think it should be damaged and inoperable (if it had enough power). Does anyone know of an easy way to open the trunk short of jumping the car or getting a battery charger? I've considered trying to get in by pulling down the back seats, but there is a full size spare tire in the trunk and a large box or 2 that may be in the way to get to the manual release inside.

If anyone is curious, I am staying in the Dodge family for my new vehicle. I picked up a new 2019 Journey today.
